Job Title: Certified Addictions Counselor

At Resources for Human Development, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Addictions Counselor to join our team at the Montgomery County Recovery Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to individuals struggling with addiction.

Job Summary

The Certified Addictions Counselor will provide individual and group counseling services to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and wellness. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring a holistic approach to care. Your expertise will be essential in providing crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy services to support patients in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide crisis intervention and case management services to support patients
  • Advocate for patients to ensure access to necessary resources and services
  • Participate in clinical case consultations, treatment plan updates, and clinical supervisions as scheduled
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • At least 1+ years of experience in the drug and alcohol field
  • Current PA State certification or license preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
