Job Summary

Resources for Human Development is seeking a Certified Addictions Counselor to join our team at the Montgomery County Recovery Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct service care via individual and group therapy to our medication-assisted treatment patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling to patients
  • Maintain a caseload of 35+ patients
  • Responsible for clinical chart documentation, including treatment plans, DAP notes, case consultations, and psychosocial assessments
  • Attend and present clinical case consultations, treatment plan update meetings, and clinical supervisions as scheduled
  • Provide crisis intervention and assist in client aftercare planning and follow-up
  • Facilitate specialty groups as assigned
  • Evaluate client progress and report to funders/referral sources as requested
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred in psychology, social work, counseling, chemical dependency, or similar field
  • At least 1+ year's experience in the drug and alcohol field required
  • Current PA State certification or license strongly preferred
  • Completion of 8 hours of Buprenorphine training program
  • Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication
