Senior Meat/Seafood Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Meat/Seafood Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a Senior Meat/Seafood Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and ensuring the efficient operation of the meat and seafood department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a high level of customer service, answering questions and making recommendations on meat and seafood products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and health regulations.
- Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery trucks.
- Count and weigh incoming articles and compare results against invoices.
- Examine meats in storage and rotate them to avoid aging.
- Provide a high level of prompt and friendly customer service while assisting customers with questions, special orders, and needs.
- At least 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience and 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in meat department processes and procedures.
- Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously and walk up to 2 miles per 8 hours.
- Good vision required for using sharp knives, band saw, grinder, sausage maker, box cutter, wrapping machine, and tenderizer.
- Ability to lift/carry products horizontally/vertically between 25 to 90 lbs., from 4" to 60", a distance up to 10 feet for 20 hours.
