Senior Meat/Seafood Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Meat/Seafood Specialist to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a key member of our Meat and Seafood Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide prompt and friendly service to customers, answering questions and assisting with special orders and needs.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a high level of knowledge about our meat and seafood products, including preparation techniques and product features.
- Inventory Management: Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery trucks.
- Quality Control: Examine meats in storage and rotate them to avoid aging, ensuring a high level of quality and freshness.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience and 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in Meat department processes and procedures preferred.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures; ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, and a total of 8 hours per shift; walk up to 2 miles per 8 hours.
