Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide prompt and friendly service to customers, answering questions and assisting with special orders and needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a high level of knowledge about our meat and seafood products, including preparation techniques and product features.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery trucks.
  • Quality Control: Examine meats in storage and rotate them to avoid aging, ensuring a high level of quality and freshness.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to maintain a positive and customer-focused work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience and 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in Meat Department processes and procedures.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina to stand for up to 4 hours continuously.
