Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the precise and timely submission of federal and state corporate tax returns.
  • Manage the tax filing schedule using Corptax and direct compliance workflows and team assignments.
  • Assist in the evaluation and preparation of documentation and workpapers to support tax submissions, including 163J and BEAT calculations, consolidated return eliminations, and 5472 forms.
  • Preferred experience in state income tax returns, including separate company and unitary returns.
  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial tax reporting and disclosures for interim and annual financial statements as required.
  • Develop, document, and enhance tax reporting procedures.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and provide business support for significant transactions.
  • Collect and assess data using various internal reporting tools to support tax filings and substantiate audit positions.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of tax compliance software systems.
  • Prepare and review financial analyses and monthly reconciliations for tax-related accounts.
  • Maintain internal controls as designated by the Senior Director of North America Tax.
  • Implement new tax policies, strategies, and procedures to support tax and cross-functional initiatives as necessary.
  • Guide and mentor tax staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate tax regulatory developments and changes in tax law, documenting their impact on the organization.
  • Provide guidance to business operations regarding direct and indirect taxes.
  • Assist the Tax Director in collaborating with finance and other departments to provide technical support and research for various tax planning initiatives, including business expansions and restructuring of acquisitions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of global transfer pricing strategies and documentation, as well as intercompany cost allocations.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Accounting, or Economics; Master's Degree in Taxation is preferred.
  • MBA or CPA designation is advantageous.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written communication and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining relationships across various departments including Accounting, Finance, Legal, Development, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Capability to lead and mentor team members as required.
  • Demonstrated analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with CorpTax and FAS Depreciation Software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
