Position Overview:

The HVAC and Refrigeration Specialist is responsible for delivering maintenance, repair, and support for refrigeration and HVAC systems across designated service calls and locations. This role embodies the core values of Harris Teeter, including respect, integrity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on building systems.
  • Travel independently to various locations as assigned.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities.
  • Perform compressor and large motor replacements.
  • Conduct leak checks and manage refrigerant handling.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Safely operate vehicles and powered industrial equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with store personnel regarding equipment usage.
  • Utilize company systems for work orders and time tracking.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying temperatures. The role may involve standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
