In this position, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of both customer and company equipment. Your work will be conducted in a safe and efficient manner, contributing to the profitability objectives established by the Department Managers and the Company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair various motor truck and trailer equipment, focusing primarily on refrigeration unit maintenance designed for commercial vehicles.
  • Execute all levels of maintenance services, emphasizing refrigeration units and equipment tailored for commercial trucks and trailers.
  • Utilize electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment to assess lines, components, and connections.
  • Interpret complex schematics related to refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Identify warrantable repairs and accurately document them on repair orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles as necessary to diagnose issues or confirm proper functionality.
  • Perform tasks independently and efficiently.
  • Employ hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, along with power tools like pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, and hoists.
  • Provide additional support for preventative maintenance and tractor-trailer upkeep as required by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
  • Technical degree in HVAC or a related field.

The expected base pay range for this role is between $21 and $28 per hour at the start of employment. However, the final base pay will be determined on an individual basis and is only a part of the overall compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other benefits offered by the company.
