Key Responsibilities

As an Imaging Special Procedures Technologist, you will:

  • Administer contrast media in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile environments for procedures.
  • Assist physicians during interventional procedures.
  • Understand and manage the administration of medications, including their effects and contraindications.
  • Establish and maintain IV access as needed.
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain records in the appropriate systems.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A current license or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or a license from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training within six months of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a Cath lab or EP lab is preferred, though new graduates from RCIS programs may be considered.
  • Knowledge of radioactive waste management and disposal regulations.
