Role Responsibilities

As an Imaging Technologist specializing in Special Procedures, you will:

  • Administer contrast media following established guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile environments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Assist physicians during interventional procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medications, their effects, and contraindications.
  • Establish and maintain IV access as required.
  • Accurately document procedures and manage imaging records.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A current license or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) from an accredited institution.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training within six months of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a Cath lab or EP lab is preferred, though new graduates from RCIS programs will be considered.
  • Knowledge of radioactive waste management and disposal in compliance with regulations.
