Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing ultrasound technology to evaluate tissue and vascular structures, ensuring high-quality images for clinical interpretation.
  • Setting up and calibrating imaging equipment, and manually maneuvering transducers to perform examinations.
  • Implementing safety protocols and conducting quality control measures.
  • Performing both routine and advanced imaging studies, assisting in various diagnostic procedures.
  • Identifying significant anatomical structures, artifacts, and potential equipment limitations.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of imaging equipment and reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Submitting high-quality images and documentation to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) promptly.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
  • Adhering to compliance standards set by regulatory agencies.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • Licensure/Certification: BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire. One of the following credentials is required:
    • Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular Sonography (ARRT)
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)
    • Registered Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography (ARDMS)
    • Registered Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography (ARRT)
  • Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree, or a Technical certificate/degree.
