Position Overview

As an Imaging Technician, you will play a vital role in the Imaging department, working full-time during the evening shift. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care and diagnostic processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture high-quality radiologic images to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging procedures, selecting appropriate exposure factors.
  • Administer contrast media and medications in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, reporting any unusual activity.
  • Review and suggest updates to imaging protocols as necessary.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards to minimize exposure risks.
  • Ensure timely submission of all images and documentation to the PACS system, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure imaging equipment is functioning correctly, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Current BLS certification required within one month of hire.
  • Must obtain one of the following credentials within three months of hire:
    • Cardiographic Technician credential from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Medical Sonographer credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with two years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or four years of applicable experience.
