We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures to aid in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries.
Key Responsibilities- Positioning and Imaging: Position patients accurately and select anatomic and technical parameters to ensure high-quality images.
- Radiation Safety: Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Procedure Assistance: Prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures.
- Contrast Media Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Image Quality Control: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards and submit high-quality images and documents to PACS.
- Department Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- Licensure and Certification: BLS Provider certification and Radiologic Technologist specialization in Radiography and Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
