Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Courtroom Coordinator to join our team at Shelby County. As a key member of our court operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our courtrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to court personnel, including preparing court documents, managing court files, and coordinating court schedules.
  • Assist with the coordination of court proceedings, including preparing dockets, calendars, and other court-related materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of court proceedings, including case dispositions, court orders, and payment of fees.
  • Provide excellent customer service to court staff, attorneys, and litigants, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing, or statistical work.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Court-related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Working Conditions

This position may require working evenings, holidays, and weekends on a rotational basis. May be required to work in the 24-Hour Office.
