Job Summary

The Yards at 3 Crossings is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our community, this individual will provide exceptional service to our residents while developing a rapport by being knowledgeable and friendly.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, dealing with residents and staff members. The ideal candidate will be dependable, self-motivated, and have at least basic mechanical skills. A positive attitude and a love for problem-solving are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete Maintenance Service Requests: Respond to and complete all maintenance service requests as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and Maintain Building Systems: Regularly inspect and maintain all building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and complete the preventative maintenance program to ensure the longevity of our community's systems.
  • Assist with Maintenance Projects: Render assistance to management on specific maintenance projects, including repairs and renovations.
  • Monitor Outside Contractors: Assist in the monitoring of all work being performed by outside contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Be On-Call for Emergencies: Be available for emergency maintenance service and lockouts, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Perform Grounds Maintenance: Complete ground works as directed, including picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, and maintaining landscaping beds.
  • Maintain a Safe and Organized Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized workshop, with an adequate inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Comply with Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all company, federal, state, and local safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Perform Other Duties: Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Maintenance Experience: Have 1-2 years of maintenance experience.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb and work on ladders, work with arms raised over head, stand/walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend at waist and knees to lift boxes, appliances, furniture, shovel snow, etc.
