Position Overview

In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will be tasked with managing general maintenance requests throughout the facility while assisting young individuals in preparing for their future careers. This position is hourly and non-exempt.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute janitorial duties, building upkeep, and landscaping responsibilities
  • Conduct minor construction tasks as needed
  • Maintain outdoor areas and transport students to various locations
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are well-maintained
  • Perform basic electrical maintenance
  • Follow established policies and procedures
  • Uphold cleanliness and compliance with industry standards
  • Promote a safe working environment
  • Participate in training sessions and exemplify employability skills

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a relevant trade
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Capability to operate household equipment

Working Conditions

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and carry items
  • Occasional requirements for sitting, squatting, kneeling, and lifting
  • Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively

Environmental Demands

  • Primarily outdoor work with moderate noise levels
  • Exposure to varying temperatures
