About the Role

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodian/Janitor. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Clean Facilities: Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum all floor surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate Cleaning Equipment: Use power equipment and chemical cleaners to maintain floors and other surfaces, following established procedures to prevent damage.
  • Restroom and Corridor Maintenance: Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, fitting rooms, corridors, and store entrance areas to ensure a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly, using a compactor for certain materials.
  • Window and Glass Cleaning: Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
  • Carpets and Upholstery: Spot clean carpets and assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
  • Supply Replenishment: Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies as needed.
  • Follow Housekeeping Schedule: Adhere to established housekeeping schedules to ensure consistent cleaning and maintenance.
  • Operate Heavy Cleaning Equipment: Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
Requirements
  • Age and Authorization: Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Reliability and Trustworthiness: Demonstrate a high level of reliability and trustworthiness in your work.
  • Physical Ability: Be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting and bending, as required by the job.
  • Previous Experience: Have some prior cleaning experience, preferably in a similar role.
Work Details
  • Part-Time Schedule: Work a part-time schedule of approximately 30 hours per week, Monday through Sunday.
  • Hourly Rate: Earn up to $15.00 per hour.
