Job Title: Account Director, PR

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Director, PR to join our team at MullenLowe. As a key member of our Public Relations department, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative ideas that capture the attention of press and drive business results.

About the Role

The Account Director, PR will lead multiple clients simultaneously and be responsible for overall client relationships. You will develop and execute public relations activities in accordance with client objectives and budget, manage client and program budgets, and provide expertise in media relations, influencer relations, event management, and social media programming.

Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, development, and execution of public relations activities
  • Manage client and program budgets
  • Develop a deep knowledge of client's business to anticipate client needs
  • Lead client meetings and brainstorms
  • Provide expertise in media relations, influencer relations, event management, and social media programming
  • Maintain and nurture robust network of press contacts
  • Manage measurement tools and reporting
  • Participate in and help new business presentations
  • Effectively and appropriately execute and delegate on client accounts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in an agency, start-up, client-side role, or equivalent experience in a relevant creative industry
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • Experience managing multiple accounts, effectively managing team members, including proper delegation of work
  • Familiarity with key tools used in the PR industry
  • Knowledge and practical application of media relations, influencer relations, social media, and/or PR measurement practices and tools
