Role Summary:

The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) is an entry-level role designed to support the Public Relations team through various administrative tasks while gaining hands-on experience in the planning, development, and execution of PR initiatives. The AAE will learn agency processes under the guidance of an Account Supervisor or Director, absorbing knowledge from each interaction and applying it to future projects. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple assignments simultaneously. A passion for media relations and a keen interest in cultural trends are essential for success in this fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients, often managing multiple accounts concurrently
  • Participate in client meetings, taking comprehensive notes
  • Prepare status updates, call summaries, and action items for clients
  • Maintain trackers for client status, media reports, and presentations
  • Monitor industry news relevant to clients
  • Assist with media relations tasks, including:
    • Developing media lists
    • Creating and distributing press materials
    • Building and maintaining press contacts
  • Support influencer and social media initiatives
  • Assist with event planning and execution as needed
  • Contribute ideas for client strategies and campaigns
  • Participate in new business presentations when required
  • Manage client billing processes

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous PR experience in a relevant creative field (internship or coursework) or a strong desire to start a career in public relations.

  • Exceptional storytelling and organizational abilities to consistently deliver high-quality work

  • Creative thinking capabilities
