Position: Director of IT

Job Overview

The Director of IT serves as a crucial internal collaborator for all corporate and field personnel, ensuring the effective operation and advancement of our business. This role is responsible for overseeing the seamless functionality of our computer systems, adhering to defined requirements, specifications, budgets, and timelines. The Director will lead the deployment and upkeep of our organization's technological needs while managing the setup of new devices for employees and additional locations. This position will also provide strategic guidance on security requirements and innovative solutions to propel our business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and enhance the company SharePoint site, adjusting permissions for new and existing users as organizational needs change.
  • Identify and resolve hardware and software challenges for users, both remotely and in-person when necessary.
  • Establish Office 365 accounts for corporate employees upon acceptance of job offers.
  • Acquire and oversee the inventory of IT assets to ensure availability for new hires.
  • Prepare laptops for new employees, installing essential applications and enabling remote administrative access for user support.
  • Set up iPads for new and existing locations, ensuring security and consistency.
  • Conduct regular assessments of network and data security, implementing improvements to the infrastructure as required.
  • Create training materials for staff as new technologies are introduced.
  • Manage and report on the allocation of the IT budget.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and standard operating procedures for the organization.
  • Maintain the company phone system, assigning numbers and extensions for new users and locations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues while managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Equip new team members with necessary company technology, whether in-office or remote.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO and Corporate Team.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a senior-level information technology position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint, with experience in managing permissions and user groups.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office licenses and administrative roles.
  • Experience in managing IT equipment and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Advanced understanding of IT security protocols.
  • SharePoint Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Intune, Azure / Entra, and Copilot for Microsoft 365.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
