Assistant Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our restaurant by assisting the General Manager in achieving customer satisfaction and profitability goals. This position requires a hands-on style of management, with a focus on providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including customer service, food preparation, and inventory management.
  • Provide direction and feedback to crew members, ensuring they meet job duties and adhere to company standards.
  • Monitor and control food, paper, labor, and utility costs, and ensure compliance with safety and security procedures.
  • Perform cash management responsibilities, including handling cash, operating the point-of-sale system, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including preparing the restaurant for customers and ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards for cleanliness and safety.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with training and development of crew members, ensuring they meet company standards for knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in restaurants, retail, or a position involving customer contact is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; basic math skills and ability to lift 55 pounds.
  • Minimum three months experience with Little Caesars as a certified Shift Leader or Assistant Manager Trainee.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Dependable, hardworking, and able to work under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for daily banking and delivery responsibilities.

Working Conditions:

The Assistant Manager will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a hands-on style of management that requires physical activity, including lifting, squatting, and standing for long periods of time. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
