## Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Efficiency AirSide product engineering team in York, PA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a full range of engineering responsibilities, including the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks.

## Key Responsibilities

* Independently develop approaches to solutions and lead process improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with team members to determine best techniques, procedures, and theories, and apply them to analysis, design, or research of mechanical equipment and components related to the HVAC industry
* Apply statistical analysis and quality principles and tools to drive results and improve processes
* Plan complex projects and product releases, and drive cross-functional work with other departments
* Provide technical direction to designers and technicians on specific work assignments, and guide and mentor less experienced engineers
* Analyze product design requirements and recommend solutions, promoting Design for Manufacturability philosophy and simplifying complex specifications into logical design requirements
* Complete full sets of designs for features or products, and prepare, check, and coordinate the release of documentation to support AHU component design and application
* Use expertise to provide instruction and guidance to others, and define specifications for multiple features or products
* Prepare and participate in design reviews, and communicate project and product information to cross-functional teams

## Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or related science
* 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role with experience managing projects
* AutoCAD / Inventor experience is beneficial
* Must be commuting distance to York, PA, or open to relocation
