Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Create calculations, design narratives, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
- AutoCAD and Revit Expertise: Utilize AutoCAD and Revit BIM to create and interpret drawings, with a strong preference for BIM experience.
- Construction Administration: Provide support for construction administration, including submittal reviews, RFIs, inspections, and punch list management.
- Travel and Collaboration: Travel to project sites across NY and PA for meetings, field investigations, and construction oversight, while collaborating with and mentoring a Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Project Management: Report to the Principal Electrical Engineer and effectively manage multiple projects independently.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in building-specific engineering or consulting, with a PE License in NY and the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit BIM within a design production environment, with experience designing air handling, hydronic, and steam systems.
- Market Expertise: Background in Healthcare, Higher Education, and Government/Municipal markets is preferred.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel regionally (up to 300 miles), with overnight stays typically making up about 10% of the workload.
