Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Viceroy Hotel Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the coordination, planning, and supervision of food production and presentation in all hotel outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in developing and implementing menu items, specials, and holiday functions
- Coordinate and manage kitchen operations, including food production, ordering, and inventory control
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations
- Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, as well as company policies and procedures
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced culinary environment, with leadership experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to train and motivate team members
- Knowledge of health and sanitation standards, as well as menu and food preparation skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, with frequent bending, stooping, and standing
