Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef at Meat on Ocean, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation strategies
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and promotions
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time
