About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to lead our kitchen team at Divine Vintage, a part of Blue Plate Restaurant Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing menus that showcase our commitment to fresh, healthy, and innovative food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to create diversified menus that align with our restaurant's vision and policy.
- Finalize dishes and ensure their successful execution.
- Establish the working schedule and organize kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor and maintain labor costs to optimize efficiency.
- Develop recipe cards and costing recipes to streamline kitchen processes.
- Manage inventory, order and par sheets, and other kitchen needs to maintain a well-stocked and organized kitchen.
- Produce high-quality, consistent dishes that meet our menu standards and customer expectations.
- Source ingredients to maintain the integrity of our menu offerings.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members.
- Ability to understand and address team concerns, providing solutions and support when needed.
- Proven ability to train and develop subordinate cooks and kitchen staff.
- Strong inventory management skills.
- Systems-oriented approach with experience in creating and implementing systems.
- Ability to utilize provided technology and software for management and reporting.
- Valid ServSafe Manager Certification.
- Proven track record of employee retention and training.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
