Position Overview

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering technical assistance for IT operations and technology users at the corporate office(s).

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer exceptional support to technology users, ensuring superb customer service and timely resolution of all support issues by collaborating with other departments as necessary.
  • Address IT support requests by diagnosing and resolving PC hardware, software, and mobile device challenges. This includes tasks such as configuring user access to printers, setting up email accounts, enabling multifactor authentication (MFA), and troubleshooting basic application and infrastructure issues.
  • Assist in IT operations by repairing and replacing malfunctioning hardware, identifying and rectifying network problems, and troubleshooting teleconferencing equipment.
  • Resolve basic connectivity challenges, including corporate Wi-Fi connections, LAN Ethernet issues, and remote access VPN.
  • Procure necessary hardware and software to meet business requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • A college degree in a relevant field or two years of applicable experience in network and computer hardware configuration, troubleshooting, or support roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for a customer-facing position.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to prioritize, manage, and resolve multiple concurrent support requests efficiently.
  • Proven ability to work independently while performing tasks and being an effective team player.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience with Windows 10/11 configuration and support.
  • Familiarity with Windows server environments and Microsoft Active Directory functionalities.
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft 365.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles (IP subnets, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Experience with Cisco switches is a plus but not mandatory.
