Position Overview

The Network Infrastructure Specialist role is pivotal in delivering robust IT infrastructure engineering for various network and system projects. Responsibilities encompass upgrades, troubleshooting, relocations, and migrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute migrations and document post-sales engagements with clients adhering to best practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and provide feedback during pre-sales processes when necessary.
  • Support the delivery of services and solutions that meet customer expectations.
  • Engage in the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure solutions from major vendors like Cisco and HPE.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to networking, security, and wireless systems.
  • Possess a solid understanding and experience with Cisco Collaboration systems.
  • Assist in identifying specific network requirements for clients.
  • Contribute to the development of tailored network, security, VoIP, and wireless solutions.
  • Help formulate detailed implementation strategies.
  • Conduct architectural discussions and design conceptualizations.
  • Facilitate product demonstrations and presentations for clients.
  • Engage in project work or respond to service tickets as necessary to meet client needs.
  • Provide mentorship and training to fellow technical team members.
Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of high-performance data center solutions and network infrastructure (LAN/WAN).
  • Expertise in major manufacturers' routers, switches, and security appliances.
  • In-depth understanding of WAN circuits, MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and related protocols.
  • Proficient in designing and troubleshooting VLANs using Cisco equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of VPN solutions and hands-on deployment experience.
  • Familiarity with load balancing for web systems and e-commerce applications.
  • Experience with monitoring and management tools such as Solarwinds and Wireshark.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco security and infrastructure products.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Cisco Certified Systems Engineer (CCNP) in any discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in designing and implementing large-scale Unified Communications solutions.
  • Knowledge of VMware products is advantageous.
Additional Information
  • 6+ years of advanced experience with Microsoft Active Directory and systems.
  • 6+ years of experience with VMware virtualization solutions.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in WAN/LAN and wireless technologies.
  • Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer-specific certifications.
  • Experience with scripting and automation for deployments.
