Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Deployment Automation Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable and secure deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Ansible Playbooks: Create, update, and optimize Ansible playbooks for automated deployments of infrastructure and applications.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Solutions: Design and implement IaC solutions to ensure consistent and reliable deployments.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement scalable and secure deployment processes.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Deployment Issues: Identify and resolve deployment issues to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Improve Deployment Pipelines and Processes: Continuously improve deployment pipelines and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices in deployment automation.

Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of experience with a Master's degree; 0 years of experience with a Ph.D.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Deployment Automation Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong Experience with Ansible Playbooks: Strong experience with Ansible playbooks for automated deployments.
  • Familiarity with IaC Environments: Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) environments and tools.
  • Proficiency in Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Comfortable Working in Redhat and Windows Environments: Comfortable working in both Redhat and Windows environments.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • US Citizenship and Secret Clearance: Candidate must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Desired Qualifications
