The Receptionist is the first and last point of contact for clients and a key to creating lasting impressions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to handle payment and financial issues. They will support veterinarians, technicians, and other staff in daily patient and client care.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of Kiln Creek Animal Care.
  • Greet clients and pets with a smile and a positive attitude.
  • Answer client inquiries about animal care and routine procedures.
  • Screen and route calls to appropriate staff.
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries according to hospital guidelines.
  • Enter accurate charges and explain invoices to clients.
  • Collect payment and verify client eligibility.
  • Check medical and computer records for accuracy.
  • Fill prescriptions and provide routine administration instructions.
  • Advise clients on flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventatives, and other retail items.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated commitment to Kiln Creek Animal Care's core values.
  • Computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • Working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult conditions.
  • Ability to display tact and respect with clients and team members.
