Position Overview:
Winter Park Resort is seeking a dedicated Slope Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our grooming operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our ski trails maintain a world-class snow surface for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Slope Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
  • Collaborate with the Grooming Manager to develop a comprehensive nightly maintenance strategy.
  • Monitor and adapt to changing snow management goals throughout the season.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections of grooming equipment.
  • Lead nightly briefings with your team and assign tasks effectively.
  • Ensure that all trails are maintained to the highest standards of quality.
  • Proactively address slope maintenance challenges, including thin spots and lift areas.
  • Anticipate and prepare for upcoming maintenance needs and special course constructions.
  • Complete assigned snowcat projects and maintain accurate logs of equipment usage.
  • Communicate any equipment concerns to the maintenance team.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience operating snowcats.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • In-depth knowledge of slope maintenance techniques and objectives.
  • Advanced grooming skills and familiarity with heavy equipment.
  • Experience with winch cats is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to:
  • Lift and carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
  • Work extended hours while seated and operate hand tools.
  • Endure various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and cold temperatures.

Compensation:
The hourly pay range for this position is between $24.00 and $30.00, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include a free season pass and various discounts for employees.
