Your Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our single-family rental home maintenance department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure that service requests are fulfilled according to company standards while delivering an outstanding resident experience.
  • Monitoring and managing maintenance budgets to balance financial performance with resident satisfaction and property upkeep.
  • Collaborating with office staff and property management to foster a proactive team environment aimed at achieving shared goals.
  • Identifying and coordinating local contractors as necessary to support maintenance operations.
  • Conducting site visits to address complex resident service issues and providing technical guidance to maintenance staff.
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring maintenance technicians and supervisors within the region.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • OSHA 10 certification is required (new hires must complete this within 90 days if not already certified).
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in single-family construction, renovation, or maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of residential construction and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
  • Proficiency in using computers and mobile devices, with a willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, along with a commitment to customer service.
  • Current driver's license and automobile insurance, along with any necessary state certifications.
  • Preferred certifications include EPA Certification (Type I and II), HVAC Certification, and CPO certification (pool).
  • Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Physical capabilities include lifting up to 20 pounds and performing various physical tasks.
