Key Responsibilities

This role is part of a collaborative team comprised of Income Tax, Sales & Use, and Property Tax experts who take pride in their contributions to the company’s achievements. A typical day for this Tax Specialist includes assisting with specialized tax projects, which may involve:

  • Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining the fixed asset and intangible asset data warehouse for tax depreciation and amortization calculations.
  • Extracting insights from data, identifying discrepancies, and resourcefully finding solutions to ensure precision.
  • Building relationships with accounting, finance, IT, and other departments to achieve set objectives.
  • Contributing to the design, analysis, and automation of various business improvement initiatives and developing applications that enhance tax processes.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions as well as federal and state income tax returns.
  • Researching technical tax matters and drafting technical memoranda.
  • Collaborating with external consultants on diverse tax-related projects.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, computer science, or a related technical field, with two or more years of corporate or consulting experience.
  • Experience with income tax provisions is preferred but not mandatory.
  • CPA designation and/or experience with Big 4 firms or business analysis consulting is advantageous but not essential.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient knowledge of Longview, CorpTax, Alteryx, Visio, and Tableau is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience in building complex models are required.
  • Familiarity with OneStream, Orbit Analytics, or similar applications is a plus.
  • SQL querying experience is beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Proven capability to work in a dynamic environment, manage multiple projects, and adjust priorities as needed.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $63,150.00 to $90,000.00 annually. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible health options, flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) plan with company match, ESPP, career development opportunities, and a flexible time-off policy. The base pay range is a guideline; individual total compensation may vary based on qualifications, skill level, and competencies. Compensation is also influenced by the role's location and may change based on work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screening, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
