Primary Responsibilities:
• Accurately and promptly prepare monthly transactional tax filings.
• Ensure timely submission of all assigned tax returns.
• Generate monthly use tax accruals and related journal entries.
• Handle additional non-income tax filings, such as beverage taxes, unclaimed property, and business licenses.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of tax accounts.
• Assess monthly expenses and fixed asset acquisitions for appropriate sales and use tax application.
• Evaluate new inventory items for correct tax categorization.
• Assist management during state and local audits by gathering information, analyzing data, and implementing necessary system adjustments based on audit outcomes.
• Research and interpret relevant transactional tax regulations as required.
• Prepare various transactional tax reports as assigned.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to assigned tax inquiries.
• Collaborate effectively with various business units to comprehend business transactions and ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Stay updated on tax legislation and rate modifications.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Engage with other finance department members, CFOs, and accounting staff at operational facilities.
• Prepare sales and use tax registrations as necessary.
• Support the implementation and upkeep of sales tax software to guarantee precise collection and reporting.
• Undertake additional functions and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
A four-year degree is required, preferably in Accounting.
