We are seeking a highly motivated Communication Specialist to join our team in Taylor, TX.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in speech therapy and a strong passion for helping individuals with communication disorders.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to implement treatment plans and interventions designed to address speech, language, and communication goals.
  • You will assist in conducting assessments and evaluations to gather relevant information about students' speech and language abilities.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to provide individual or group therapy sessions to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • You will also monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • We expect you to implement various therapeutic techniques and exercises to improve speech production, articulation, language comprehension, and expressive language skills.
  • You will help students develop and enhance social communication skills.
  • Your role will involve teaching students and their family strategies and techniques to improve communication outside of therapy sessions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) from a recognized certifying organization.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with communication disorders is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
