Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement treatment plans and interventions that address speech, language, and communication goals.
  • Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations to gather relevant information about students' speech and language abilities.
  • Provide individual or group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Implement various therapeutic techniques and exercises to improve speech production, articulation, language comprehension, and expressive language skills.
  • Help students develop and enhance social communication skills.
  • Teach students and their families strategies and techniques to improve communication outside of therapy sessions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant from a recognized certifying organization.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with communication disorders is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
