Job Summary:

Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled Medication Administration Professional to join our healthcare team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for administering prescribed medications to residents and maintaining accurate medical records under the supervision of our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the identity of residents receiving medication and accurately record the name of the drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms.
  • Present medication to residents and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication using established protocols.
  • Monitor residents for response to medication and prepare reports as needed.
  • Document reasons for non-administration of prescribed medications.
  • Receive and manage medication supplies, including apportioning, mixing, or assembling medications for administration to residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication inventories and restock as necessary.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Successful completion of training approved by the state for Certified Medication Assistants.
