Position Title: Linux Kernel Developer on ARM

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Work Arrangement: Hybrid role available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the design and specification processes for innovative enhancements.
  • Perform coding, automation of testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues, along with performance evaluation and client problem-solving.
  • Participate in Open Source community meetings, which are encouraged and supported, and may involve client-facing roles such as support and presentations at industry conferences.
  • Collaborate closely with relevant Open Source communities for the integration of your contributions and with distribution partners.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years in Open Source development, particularly in areas related to the Linux Kernel, KVM, QEMU, or virtio.
  • At least 2 years of experience in low-level or assembler programming on ARM architectures, preferably 64-bit.
  • Deep understanding of operating system internals, including memory management, task scheduling, interrupts, and device drivers.
  • Proficient in source code management systems, particularly git, along with scripting languages like Python and test automation tools such as Jenkins.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Active contributions to Open Source projects or holding maintainer status for multiple years.
  • Familiarity with contemporary I/O technologies such as PCI, NVMe, and RDMA.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and emulation technologies, including QEMU TCG.
  • Experience in platform and I/O device management, specifically UEFI and ACPI.
  • A strong drive and motivation for excellence.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
