Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Linux system administration functions, including OS loading, patching, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, Samba, SSH, VNC, user/group management, and more.
  • Set up Linux servers and ensure seamless data sharing between them and other computers, often Windows-based.
  • Assess system vulnerabilities using tools like SecScan and Nessus, harden systems manually and through scripts, and perform system/application-level regression testing.
  • Implement and administer virus scanning applications to ensure a secure environment.
  • Utilize shell scripting (Bash, other) to enhance system administration, troubleshooting, and automation tasks.
  • Perform Windows system administration functions, including OS loading, patching, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, virus scanning applications, and policy implementation.
  • Set up Windows servers (Server 2019, Server 2022, etc.) and clients (e.g., Win7, Win8, Win10, Win11) and ensure data sharing between them and Linux servers.
  • Assess system vulnerabilities, harden systems, and perform system/application-level regression testing.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Meet IAT Level II – e.g., Security+ (Sec+) or be able to secure Sec+ certification or higher.
  • Basic understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and processes.
  • Basic knowledge of router and switch configuration, necessary for configuration and/or system hardening and compliance scanning requirements.
  • Elastic (ELK) Stack configuration and user experience.
  • Experience using PowerShell scripting to enhance system administration, troubleshooting, and automation tasks.
  • Experience installing, integrating, and troubleshooting GOTS/COTS Software/Applications on Windows and Linux servers.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current and active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
