Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Satellite Mission Operations Engineer to support a dynamic and innovative space program in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acquiring and deploying next-generation space assets, including first-of-a-kind satellite constellations with groundbreaking technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operations planning and execution support for satellite missions
  • Develop and coordinate operations transition plans for large satellite constellations
  • Support anomaly resolution and develop innovative solutions to system challenges
  • Develop productive relationships with contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts
  • Maintain a solid understanding of system capabilities and CONOPS
  • Serve as a mentor to team members and provide on-call support as needed
  • Participate in full lifecycle acquisition and SE activities from pre-acquisition through launch and on-orbit checkout
  • Author, review, and coordinate documents, briefings, and data to aid the government in communications and decision-making

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and related experience
  • Experience with NRO satellite systems
  • Available to travel domestically
  • Bachelor's and 9 years or more experience; Master's and 7 years or more experience; PhD and 4 years of experience
