Work Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours per week

Shift: Night shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (including weekend rotation)

  • Are you ready to join our obstetric team? AdventHealth is a leading provider of obstetric care, deeply rooted in the community and known for delivering personalized care in a boutique environment.
  • Our NICU features a 12-bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with approximately 3,500 births annually. The adjacent units include a 14-bed Labor and Delivery unit and a 34-bed Mother Infant Unit.
  • The multidisciplinary team is supported by Neonatologists/Pediatric Hospitalists and OB Hospitalists available around the clock.
  • Our NICU Network spans multiple locations and has been recognized for excellence in Neonatology.

Your Role:

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is accountable for delivering and overseeing comprehensive nursing care to designated age-specific groups. This role involves utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to meet the objectives of the nursing department. Compliance with the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all relevant local, state, and federal regulations is essential. You will actively engage in exceptional customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all stakeholders.

Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Nursing Expertise: Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret diagnostic data relevant to patient age and condition, including lab results and monitoring data. Nursing practice reflects the application of knowledge and skills related to all diagnoses, procedures, medications, and equipment associated with the patient population.
  • Patient Safety: Nursing practice adheres to all regulatory standards, including strict infection prevention protocols and medication safety policies. Emphasizes patient education and seizes opportunities to provide teaching in accordance with the care plan.
  • Effective Communication: Enhances the patient experience by fostering compassionate and professional relationships through effective communication with patients, families, and visitors. Utilizes appropriate techniques and resources to ensure understanding and clarity in all interactions.
  • Accurate Documentation: Demonstrates proficiency in recording and accessing patient information in the electronic medical record in real-time, ensuring compliance with standards of care and departmental policies.

Qualifications Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate Registered Nurse license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Professional Certification
