Unit Overview:

· Our Surgical PCU is a specialized 20-bed unit focused on ENT, Surgical Head and Neck, Colorectal, and Urology procedures.

· We implement Enhanced Recovery Pathway protocols for Colo-Rectal/Urology surgeries, ensuring comprehensive care throughout the surgical journey.

· We prioritize teamwork and foster a collaborative environment among various disciplines to provide holistic healthcare to all patients and their families. You will play a vital role in this dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered nurse who assists the Nurse Manager or Director in overseeing the operations of the assigned unit. The ANM demonstrates critical thinking, creativity, and resource management to ensure quality performance, positive employee relations, and adherence to hospital standards. The ANM is proficient in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ANM ensures that quality care is provided and manages resources effectively. The ANM supports change initiatives within the unit and works to implement necessary adjustments. Active participation in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships is essential.

Eligibility Criteria:

· Relevant experience is required.

· Internal candidates and rehires within 12 months are not eligible.

Relocation Requirements:

· Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the campus.

Qualifications for Success:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • Specific experience as required by the unit
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as per specialty/unit requirements
  • EKG competency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Professional Certification
