About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety in our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and safely perform routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols.
  • Act as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate care and ensure accurate and timely communication with healthcare teams.
  • Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol, including placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast.
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.
  • Complete timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and perform notification/remediation as warranted.
  • Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, and other related duties.
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry eligible, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 90 days of employment, and temporary state license required.
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Radiologic technology experience.
