Job Title: SVP - Owner's Rep Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President of Development to lead our development activities for the Merchant Building project. As the owner's representative, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the project from construction to completion, ensuring that design, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide the project team through each phase, including underwriting, design, entitlement, construction, closeout, and operational ramp up.
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team to ensure strong coordination and execution.
  • Take a big-picture view of strategy, risk assessment, capital structure, and investment returns, and communicate this view throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support underwriting, entitlement, and negotiation efforts during due diligence, acquisition, and business plan development.
  • Oversee incentives, change orders, and loan draw processes.
  • Conduct ongoing financial analyses throughout the design and development process, including budget and scope modifications.
  • Hold decision-makers accountable for critical path decisions to ensure budgetary fidelity and timely, quality results.
  • Coordinate capitalization efforts by tracking budgetary changes and their effects on project capitalization with internal groups and external partners.
  • Lead and manage ongoing design, branding, leasing, and parking execution.
  • Understand project schedules to drive results, solve problems, and elevate issues as necessary.
  • Manage internal and external relationships to enhance business relationships and achieve project objectives.
  • Lead ongoing reporting and compliance with financing and incentive agreements.
  • Interface with community members and government authorities during entitlement and permitting processes.
  • Work with operators and RBHM on project pre-opening operational and execution.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of development experience leading high-profile, multi-use projects with or on behalf of owner/developer.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under deadlines, and balance short and long-term objectives.
  • Disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity and adaptability.
  • Capability to understand and manage complex financial and legal structures, knowledge of investment and transaction, development and construction, and operations fundamentals.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized, and results-driven.
  • Reliable judgment and impeccable integrity while interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective and clear communicator, capable of holding parties accountable.
  • Entrepreneurial and creative problem solver.
