Key Responsibilities

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental needs and professional standards. As an integral member of the healthcare team, you will:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluation of breath sounds and airway function.
  • Administer respiratory therapies, such as oxygen and aerosol treatments.
  • Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and communicate with healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Facilitate the safe transport of patients requiring ventilatory support.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring airway management and ventilation.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the Texas Medical Board and RRT credential from the NBRC.
  • Associate Degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • This position requires night shift availability from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
  • Preferred: Experience in NICU and pediatric care.
