Position Title: PCA Scheduling Coordinator

About Us: The Northeast Independent Living Program (NILP) is a dynamic human services organization dedicated to empowering individuals with various disabilities to achieve independence within their communities across Northeast Massachusetts. Our agency offers five essential services: Advocacy, Peer Counseling, Information and Referral, Independent Living Skills Training, and Transition. We are committed to consumer control and self-direction, recognizing that individuals with disabilities are the foremost authorities on their own needs and aspirations.

Role Summary: Reporting to the PCA Manager, the PCA Scheduling Coordinator plays a crucial role in organizing consumer evaluations and re-evaluations. This position also entails providing administrative support and data entry assistance to facilitate the daily operations of the clinical team. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about supporting others and are dedicated to the principles of Independent Living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule initial evaluations and re-evaluations for consumers with nursing staff.
  • Perform data entry tasks using management software and Excel.
  • Collaborate with PCA and clinical personnel to manage consumer documentation.
  • Monitor and update the status of evaluations.
  • Send necessary documentation to Home Health Agencies (HHAs) and follow up as required.
  • Coordinate with medical offices to obtain authorizations for PCA services.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and consumers.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of administrative experience.
  • Familiarity with Independent Living philosophy and experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Access to reliable transportation is required.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and database management.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (40 hours per week)
