In this role, you will work alongside project teams to analyze the technology, processes, and teams of potential acquisition targets for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  2. Communicating findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through comprehensive reports.
  3. Delivering preliminary assessments within tight deadlines, ensuring timely project progression.
Consultant Roles

Our consultants typically fulfill one of two primary roles:

  1. Best Practices Evaluation: Concentrating on software development best practices or overall architecture.
  2. Architecture Assessment: Analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the existing architecture.
Specific DutiesBest Practices Evaluation

In collaboration with the Engagement Manager, you will:

  1. Assess various software development best practices, including:
  • Technical Documentation
  • Development Processes
  • Testing Procedures
  • Code Quality Standards
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery
  • Scalability and Security Measures
  • Third-Party Software Compliance
  • Operations and Support
Engage with the target tech team to gather insights and validate findings against available evidence.Develop risk ratings for each evaluated area, categorizing them as Red, Yellow, or Green based on potential impact.Architecture Assessment

In this capacity, you will:

  1. Lead or assist in evaluating the architecture of the target, focusing on:
  • Scalability and Flexibility
  • Storage Mechanisms and Utilization
  • High-Level Architecture Diagrams
Analyze the deployment strategy and data center footprint, including server characteristics and geo-distribution.Review public APIs for structure, documentation, and security.Collaboration and Reporting

As part of your role, you will:

  1. Coordinate with team members to ensure access to necessary code and documentation.
  2. Participate actively in daily Q&A sessions and architecture review meetings.
  3. Contribute to interim and final reporting sessions, summarizing key findings and follow-up items.
