Job Summary

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician's orders
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate
  • Prepare equipment and supplies
  • Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures
  • Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures
  • Enter, transmit, and report image results
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology required
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays
Certifications/Licenses
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
