About the Role:

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
  • Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
  • Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning the patient and repeating the procedure.
  • Enter, transmit, and report image results.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous clinical experience.
