Veterinary Care Specialist

Galaxy Vets is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various duties, including patient care, laboratory procedures, and radiology.
- Obtain vital signs, weights, and other necessary information for patient care.
- Prepare patients for surgery and minor procedures, and assist with post-operative care.
- Document patient information and vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, including the hospital, kennels, and treatment areas.
- Assist with the care and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
